Fieldline Comics #Q3: The Quarter in Panels

A 34-second quarterly recap for a company all-hands, drawn as a pop comic book. Three wins, one miss and one bet for next quarter, each in its own panel, ending on “On to Q4.”

The brief
“Fieldline's Q3 in 30 seconds, for the company all-hands. Three wins: 120 new customers, drive time down 24% across all crews, and the Denver launch. One miss: the mobile app slipped to November. One bet for Q4: AI dispatch that re-plans the day on its own. Fast, punchy, fun, like a comic-book recap. End on the Fieldline logo and 'On to Q4.'”

How it was made.

The brief listed the numbers and asked for a comic-book recap. The director made the quarter an issue: a cover, one panel per win, a “meanwhile” panel for the miss and a cliffhanger for the bet.

Every figure in the brief is on screen as it is said: 120 new customers, drive time down 24%, the Denver launch, the app slipping to November. It cost about $3 of model spend to make.

Every Explainers film is made the same way: one sentence in, a storyboard you approve, then the director paints, voices, scores and animates it, and a critic model grades the cut before you see it.
